Tactica Airgun Parts, Slugs and Rails in South Africa

Match the part to the platform

This is the whole story with Tactica. A barrel band for a Hatsan AT-44 will not fit a PR900W, and a magazine cut for a Kral will not feed in a Hatsan. Every listing names the rifle it is made for, and that name is the specification rather than a suggestion. Check the exact model and calibre of your rifle before ordering, since many parts exist in both .177 and .22 versions that look identical.

What a shroud and baffle stack do

A shroud fits over the air reservoir and provides Picatinny mounting points, which is how you add a bipod, light or laser to a PCP that has nowhere to attach one. A baffle stack sits inside a moderator and is the part that actually does the sound reduction. Upgrading the baffles in an existing shroud is considerably cheaper than replacing the whole assembly, and it is the usual first step when a rifle is louder than you want.

The slugs are for less-lethal, not airguns

Worth separating clearly. The .50 calibre Turbine Twist and Tactical Defence slugs and the .68 Triple Impact are projectiles for less-lethal launchers such as the Umarex T4E and magfed platforms. They are not airgun pellets and will not chamber in an air rifle. If you are buying ammunition for a PCP, the pellet and slug collections are the right place.

Common questions

Will an M-LOK adapter fit my handguard? Only if the handguard has M-LOK slots. M-LOK and KeyMod are competing systems and are not interchangeable.

Why buy magazines in two packs? Reloading is the main interruption on a magazine-fed PCP, and a spare roughly doubles shooting time between stops.

What is a pellet tray for? Single loading, on rifles used without a magazine or where you want to seat each pellet individually for consistency.

Do the grub screws fit any CO2 magazine? They are cut for KWC magazines, which appear under several brand names. Match the pattern rather than the brand on the slide.
