Gate Remote FAQs

How do I know which gate remote I need?

Match the remote to your gate motor or receiver brand. Check the sticker on your motor (Centurion, ET, DACE, Gemini, Nice) or open your existing remote and match the circuit board. If unsure, WhatsApp us a photo of your motor or old remote and we'll identify it for you.

What is the difference between rolling-code and fixed-code remotes?

Rolling-code (code-hopping) remotes like Centurion Nova and ET Blu Mix change their transmission code every press, preventing criminals from cloning the signal. Fixed-code remotes transmit the same code each time and are easier to copy. For security, we recommend rolling-code remotes wherever your receiver supports them.

How do I program a new gate remote?

Most remotes are learned into the receiver: press the learn button on your motor or receiver, then press the remote button you want to use. Centurion, ET and Sherlotronics each have slightly different steps — every remote we sell includes pairing instructions, and our team can talk you through it over the phone.

Can one remote control my gate and garage door?

Yes. Multi-button remotes like the ET Blu Mix 4-button or Centurion Nova 4-button can each control a different receiver — gate, garage, and alarm — provided the frequencies match (most SA systems use 433MHz).
