A blank gun on its own is not much use, which is why combos exist. Each bundles a pistol with blanks and usually a holster, and they generally cost less than buying the same items separately. Blanks and pepper cartridges are different products

They load into the same pistols and look similar in the box. A blank fires noise and gas only. A pepper cartridge releases an irritant, costs around seven times as much per round, and is intended for deterrence at close range. Store them separately so there is never a question about which is loaded.

Choosing between combos

Mechanically these are comparable pistols in different patterns and finishes, so the decision is mostly about which shape you prefer and what the bundle includes. Compare the blank count, since packages range from 10 to 25, and check whether a holster is part of it. A R1,495 combo with 25 blanks may be better value than a R1,449 combo with 15.

What cartridge do these take? 9mm P.A.K., also written 9x22mm. Blank revolvers typically use a different cartridge, so check your specific model.

Are the blanks interchangeable between brands? Kaiser, Ozkursan and Victory Sport are all 9x22mm P.A.K. and function in pistols chambered for it. Prices differ, so compare per round.

Is the holster any good? Combo holsters are functional rather than premium. If you want a specific carry position or better retention, the dedicated holster collections have more choice.
