Collection: Other Carry Accessories

Magazine Pouches, Carry Accessories and Cases in South Africa

The holster is only part of a carry setup. Spare magazines need somewhere to go, pepper spray needs to be reachable rather than buried in a bag, and a pistol needs somewhere secure at home. This collection covers the accessories around carrying, storing and transporting. NeonSales stocks 117 products here, from R40 for a pepper spray belt pouch up to R645 for a double magazine pouch.

Carrying a spare magazine

Type Position Trade-off
IWB holder Inside the waistband Concealed, less comfortable seated
OWB pouch On the belt Fastest access, needs a cover garment
Double pouch On the belt Two magazines, more bulk
MOLLE pouch On a vest or bag Not for concealed carry, suits range and duty use

Universal pouches take a range of magazines, while model-specific ones such as the Glock versions retain better and print less. If you carry one pistol, buy specific. If you own several, universal is more practical.

A magnetic retainer is not a holster

Magnetic pistol retainers hold a firearm under a desk, in a vehicle or beside a bed. They give fast access and no trigger guard coverage, which is precisely the trade-off to think about. They suit a controlled environment where access speed matters and nobody unauthorised can reach it. They are not a substitute for a holster on the body, and they are not secure storage.

Pepper spray needs to be reachable

A canister at the bottom of a bag protects nobody. A belt pouch with stud retention keeps it in a consistent place and stops it working loose, which is the entire point. Match the pouch to the canister size, since a 110ml canister will not fit a pouch cut for 60ml.

Common questions

Will a universal magazine pouch fit my magazine? Most take single and double stack magazines within an adjustment range. Check the listing against your magazine width, since very wide or very short magazines may not retain properly.

What is a quick release adapter for? It lets a holster be removed from the belt as a unit, which is useful when moving between carry positions or securing a firearm on arrival somewhere.

Do rest bags matter? On a bench or in the field, yes. A front and rear bag set removes hand tremor as a source of vertical error, and it is one of the cheapest accuracy improvements available.

Are the caps just merchandise? Velcro panel caps take patches, which is why they sell in this category rather than as clothing.
