Collection: Blank Gun Spare Parts

Blank Gun Parts and Spares in South Africa

Blank guns are mechanical devices with springs, pins and levers that wear, and almost every fault is a single small part rather than a dead pistol. This collection carries those parts individually, which turns most failures into a repair costing less than a hundred rand. NeonSales stocks 65 products here, from R20 for a firing pin retainer screw up to R350 for a full parts kit.

What this collection covers

  • Firing components: firing pins, firing pin springs, plungers, retainer screws
  • Trigger group: trigger assemblies, sears, trigger rod springs
  • Controls: safety levers and actuators, slide catch levers, magazine release buttons, field strip levers
  • Springs: stop release springs, recoil and trigger springs
  • Grips: replacement grip sets for Blow F92, Mini 9 and Baredda S56
  • Parts kits: complete kits for Blow P29 and others
  • Small parts: grub screws for SUR Arms blowback

Diagnosing the common failures

Symptom Usual cause Typical cost
Light strikes or no fire Worn firing pin or tired firing pin spring R50 to R100
Trigger will not reset Trigger rod spring or sear R49 to R200
Magazine drops or will not seat Magazine release button Around R100
Slide will not lock back Slide catch lever Around R150
Safety feels loose or ineffective Safety lever or actuator R49 to R70

Springs are the most common failure across the board, and they are the cheapest part in the pistol. Before assuming anything more serious, replace the spring in the affected assembly.

Parts are pattern-specific

A Baredda S56 firing pin will not fit a Blow F92, and grips are moulded to a specific frame. Every listing names the pistol it fits, and that name is the specification. If your pistol is not listed by name, check whether it shares a pattern with one that is, since several Turkish blank guns are built on common platforms.

Individual part or a full kit

Buy the individual part when you have diagnosed the fault. Buy a parts kit when a pistol has seen heavy use and you would rather refresh the wear items in one go, or when you want spares on hand. A R350 kit covering the common consumables is reasonable insurance on a pistol you use regularly.

Common questions

Can I fit these myself? Grips and springs are straightforward. Trigger assemblies and sears involve the fire control group and are better handled by someone comfortable stripping the pistol. Work on an unloaded pistol with no cartridges nearby.

Why do springs wear out? Repeated compression and heat. They are consumables in any firearm or blank gun, and replacing them periodically prevents the failures above.

Will grips from one model fit another? No. Grips are moulded to a specific frame, and even similar looking pistols differ.

What is a field strip lever? The lever that releases the slide for disassembly. When it wears the pistol becomes difficult or impossible to strip for cleaning.
