NOVA VISTA PCP1000 SYNTHETIC 5.5MM
This is a really lovely little PCP rifle, weighs in next to nothing, nice and short / easy to manoeuvre around with. This synthetic variant is composite, providing a lot of weight reduction compared to the wooden stock variant. Being an unregulated rifle, you do get your most powerful shots when shooting with a full air reservoir - With 18.13 gr pellets, you can readily plonk straight through sheet steel with ease at fifteen meters. By the middle of your second magazine, this boy will still punch a hefty blow into the steel and rupture it open, but the penetration won't be perfect. This rifle will yield you ± 20 shots per fill from 200 down to 100 BAR. Please always take the precaution to leave at least 100 ~ 190 BAR in the rifle for ingress protection for the air reservoir and to keep your seals pressed into their sleeves.
Otherwise, this is the perfect rabbit / mongoose gun, should even be able to smoke a fox with 45 J of muzzle energy with a good shot placement.
We do recommend 18.13 gr VELOCITY VECTOR pellets with this rifle, but if you want to give the JSB KNOCKOUT slugs a try, then by all means - this rifle has the power to reliably lob these.

Optics Rail: Dovetail - It is polymer and does work fine, though we do recommend using a lighter weight optical sighting device if so desired.
Front Sight: Red Fiber Optic - fixed in place
Rear Sight: Adjustable for Windage and Elevation. The sights here are a little cheap - intended really for setting it once, then thereafter, leaving it as-is.; There is a single retaining phillips screw that can be slightly loosened on the rear sight assembly, whereafter, once loosened, once can adjust said sight for windage and elevation respectively. Thereafter, just tighten the top-seated phillips screw down to lock in the rear sight.
Cocking: Biathlon Side Lever, 2 stage cocking. The lever hinges outward, using a vertical cocking lever arm
Trigger: 2-stage - breaks a little hard at that.
Safety: This is a scallop shaped button that sits in front of the trigger itself, connected to a tab under the trigger guard. The aforementioned tab is mostly for retracting, in order to engage the safety. Thereafter, to disengage the safety, you just need to push aforementioned scallop inside the trigger guard forward, that will fit the button flush w/ fore of the trigger guard. From here, the rifle can then be discharged as one sees fit. This is a manual safety, so it doesn't automatically re-engage after each shot fired. To disengage the safety, is really easy, as you can disengage the safety with your finger inside the trigger guard. This does add some nice tactical utility to the rifle.

Our opinion on this rifle is quite pleasant - for a few peanuts, you can get a very deadly rifle that will offer you 20x useful shots / two magazine loads. This might be overdoing it for a home defence weapon, but it could serve such a purpose very easily.
