SUR ARMS ANSAR 571 BLANK GUN - BLACK
Another lovely CZ-75 vintage pistol replica - this one in particular has a slightly more compact feel compared to the BAREDDA S56. We certainly do like the feel of this pistol a littlle more, as all the controls are w/in reach of one's thumb and one needn't over-reach to toggle any of the controls. The handling of this pistol is really like the real thing.
Key Features;
-
Slightly more compacted shape, fits really lovely in the hand - not the bulky, slightly oversized feel of the S56 model
- Has "Cal.9mm" stamped on the breech for added realism
- Low sheen, compared to the S56 - a more charcoal shade of black in colour.
- Lovely Vintage pistol feel, dimensionally between the BERETTA 92 and the BERETTA 84FS - just the right medium sized pistol shape.
- Mag-dumps reliably - tested in-store.
- All metal design
- 16+1 magazine capacity
This is a lovely pistol that does feel 'just right' in the hands - probably one of the best feeling vintage-replica medium sized pistols we've stocked so far - really gives lends the feeling of a retro combat pistol to your hands.
The top of the slide has serrations running along the length of the top, between the two sights, intended to break up any sun glare off the top of the slide. The sights are nice and low profile as well. The cocking serrations are grippy, featuring forwardly directed serrations that would bite into your fingers with some ease, lending for an easier rack of the slide.
The ejection port hole on the right is realistic as well, being an oblong hole exactly like on the firearm variant - it does, as mentioned, cycle your cartridges realiably.
The controls operate nice enough - the safety lever out of the box might be a little stubborn, so we do recommend working this in a bit, amongst your other controls. This will loosen them up for field use.
The gripstocks on this pistol likewise is lovely, appearing to be the exact same used on the S56 model - the slope along the path of where the thumb would lay, whose upcrop acts as finger rests as well that adds to user ergonomy.
The safety lever on the frame to the rear of the slide, slightly in front of the beaver tail guard, is ambidextrous and toggles from both sides in concert - they too, require a little break-in before operating fine.
Both the safety and slide catch levers are thin horizontal tabs, dually stepped. This allows for ease of toggling both from beneath and from the top. They also run parllel to the slide and lend a sleek finish to the transition point between the slide and frame of the pistol.
The magazine release button is periodically box textured and depresses readily w/out much trouble - you don't need to depress the button too deep either in order for the magazine to release.
The hammer likewise, features a cross-serrated ball ridge that is thoroughly cross-serrated.
Our overall impression of this pistol is super-optimistic - We feel very confident that this will be of great utility and pleasure to the end-user as a replica retro combat automatic handgun.
