SPA PR900 "PREDATOR" PCP AIR RIFLE .177

Arguably one of the better entry-level PCP rifles available for those looking into the PCP game w/out spending too much.

The nice feature to this rifle, is that it features no plastic components - the entirety of the rifle is aluminium, steel and beechwood.

This iteration of the PR900 has a bell-shapped cocking bolt which features a concave that one's index can easily latch onto for better ergonomy. Moreover, the bolt doesn't cock too hard, so it is well-suited for our younger shooters out there. It also seems to be manufactured a bit harder / more robust, as they don't seem to be breaking as easily.

The rifle is fed by either the included single pellet loader or the included multishot, self-indexing magazine, which in this case, is a 9 shot one. We noticed on this newer version of the PR900 that the gun that the magazine operates much more smoothly and you don't have the "stubborn pellet" issue anymore, like you had w/ the GAMO's on the previous iteration.

This rifle now also comes included w/ the same slimline aluminium silencer that threads onto the M10x1 metric threaded end, once the thread protector has been removed. In case you're contemplating adding an aftermarket silencer for better silencing quality on this rifle, as the case w/ thesethen you will need a silencer thread adapter which can be found here. This will make your rifle considerably more backyard friendly and is fully compatible w/ the CP2 as well as the CR600W.

Otherwise, the comb on the rear of the stock favours righthanded shooters and the buttplate on this rifle is an arch-shaped rubbber pad that has some modicum of ergonomy. The rail on this rifle is the typical PCP two piece, where you need to use a 2 piece dovetail type. If you are looking at purchasing this rifle and need some very modest mount rings for 30 meter shooting, we would recommend these, though please note that they have an interior diameter of about 1", which is fine as you won't need alot of MOA adjustability with your scope.

Our only complaint about this rifle is that the barrel is a free-floating type, which wasn't the best choice ARTEMIS could have made, as many YouTubers have likewise noted the issue this causes with this rifle's ability to group. So as a solution, we manufacture these which which retains the barrel to the air-reservoir, capturing it and apprehending any motion that may be caused, specifically when shooting at this rifle's peak muzzle velocity, which is about 150 BAR of pressure. We also include an M3 bolt as well as an accompanying lock nut - just to make sure that the bolt won't eventually rattle loose.

Also nice feature to this iteration of the rifle is that the front sight is not situated atop of the sound moderator, so you are welcome to shoot the rifle w/out the silencer and w/out a scope and would be able to do so accurately.

The stock itself both on the frontal end of the stock has shallow diamond texturing and also on this handle, which in this case, is ambidextrous.

The rifle's guage is imbedded into the base of the stock's center, which measures up to 30 mPa (300 BAR), with a clear indicator of its SWP (Safe Working Pressure) in green along the dial markings. As such, please only fill this rifle up to 200 BAR maximum.

Our overall impression of this rifle is quite positive - you'll be able to get maximum 25 shots per fill however, which isn't the best, but for a start it is fine. These lower air reservoir capacity rifles take well with the PCP handpumps, which we have in stock here. It comes w/ all the necessary fittings to connect to your filling probe, which connects to your rifle's air reservoir.
