The part that is installed on top of the CO2 tank, that allows for a refill of paintball tanks with pinhead ASA-inlet valves as well as those w/ the same threading but w/ the pinless tap head installed.

To install:

Thread the M28 female threaded nut end onto the tank using an appropriate spanner. Lightly open the tank tap, thereafter the first valve, and check for leakages. Apply PTFE tape as is necessary. Thereafter, open the second valve/bleeding valve and make sure that the CO2 is bleeding out. Make double sure of this.

How to use the installed and properly functioning filling station:

Make sure there is gas in the tank - i.e, bleed out a small amount. Thereafter, close all valves, thread your paintball CO2 tank (usually designated in ounces (OZ) on the tank, NEVER cubic inches (CU). If the tank has a gauge on it, double-check that it is a CO2 tank.

Once ascertained that the tank is a CO2 tank, thread it onto the hose end and screw the knurled cap behind it clockwise. This will cause the pin to move outward and push against the paintball tank's pinhead, opening its valve for the inlet/outlet.

Thereafter, place this attached tank on a scale and zero the scale once the reading stands still. Proceed to open the primary valve only until the NETT WEIGHT of the CO2 matches or is below, the ounce indication on the tank. If your scale doesn't have an imperial reading, use a converter to establish the number of grams that would equate to the ounces and fill the tank up to no more than that. Bleed out as is necessary.

Once done, Close the primary valve and then screw the knurled cap at the back of the ASA fitting counter-clockwise until you can feel it is loose. Thereafter, close the main tap on the tank itself and proceed to bleed out whatever pressure remains inside the station itself and stay clear of it, as fine dry ice particles may expel out that end. Once bled, proceed to unthread your CO2 tank and check that your CO2 main tank is properly shut- CO2 can be hazardous due to that it can reach minus degrees Celcius if moving even slightly fast. That, its propensity for producing dry ice and that CO2 ousts oxygen - creating a possible asphyxiation hazard if the room is not well ventilated.

Your tank should now be ready for use.
