This pistol features an electroplated nickel slide, which like most other blank guns w/ a similar finish, will feature a copper undertone once the nickel starts to wear off. Otherwise, the colour is akin to a mirror-like sheen of silver / chrome, which refracts light.
Really nice ITALIAN-manufactured blank gun, with a capacity of about 10 / 11 +1 shots. One of the nicer GLOCK 17 Gen 3 replicas on the market - featuring a full bodied GLOCK 17 form, with dimensions that are a wee-bit shorter and narrower than on the firearm counterpart;
https://eu.glock.com/en/products/pistols/g17
The sights are authentic looking, although are featureless and not removable. The signature GLOCK cocking serrations are well-replicated and are grooved out vertically on the rear of the slide. In terms of the stippling and grip panels - the stippling is vague on the palm sides, whereas on the backstrap and finger grooves, you have an immitated form of the periodical box checkering. The finger grooves do slot nicely with one's fingers, which certainly is a likeable feature not commonly had on other GLOCK 17 replica pistols.
The trigger guard here likewise, is akin to that on a GLOCK, featuring that typical curved frontal end.
The double blade trigger safety is unfortunately not functional, as you can toggle the trigger from an angle w/out toggling the inset trigger, which unfortunately is what it is. However, you can put this blank gun on safe by pushing down on both field strip tabs. This will prevent your trigger from being able to interact w/ the sear.
In terms of field stripping this pistol - you'll need to use the included allen key to remove the grub screw in the notch on the rear sight. Once removed, the rear side comes out and the slide can hitch off at the rear, off the frame rails, thereafter removed from the gun. Though note you'll need to press the field strip notches down before attempting to rear the slide off the frame. a Video on how this is done, is shown right at the bottom - please have a look at it if you're unsure or otherwise not managing.
The frame as expected is completely polymer, although there is no underbarrel Picatinny
These BRUNI magazines in general do seem a whole lot more robust and materially dense / superior quality compared to those supplied w/ Turkish blank guns. Also, the magazine follower is galvinized iron, so you won't get that issue w/ the pistol after some time where the slide goes into full reset position w/ an empty magazine inserted.
Likewise, the buttplates on these pistols are all metal too, which is a nice touch - so far, of all the blank guns we've had in our shop to this point, we have to say that the BRUNI magazines are superior.
Otherwise, We do find that the magazine release button is a bit too recessed for our liking, as it doesn't jut out and extra effort will have to be made (but not much) to eject the magazine, which btw, does drop free.
The sound produced by the magazine being fed is realistic sounding, as is the slide when being racked. Certainly has a very unique ring to it, compared to the other blank guns on the market.
Furthermore, the barrel / muzzle end is recessed and has a 9mm cavity in front, w/ a hex brass nut threaded in. It can thread out by means of an allen key, although removing this will inhibit the gun's ability to function semi-automatic - please be critically aware of this and the fact that spares of these grub screws might not be locally available.
The manufacturer's markings on the left face of the slide is quite sublime compared to what other manufacturer's print / etch on their products, which does its part to add to the replicated realism of this product.
Overall, we are really happy w/ this pistol and do find its full compliment of realistic looking features is something alot of GLOCK 17 fans and owners alike, will appreciate from a blank gun.

5/10 - Field stripping is supposed to be tool-free. While the allen key is included, we find it slightly disagreeable, but atleast it will make the gun more difficult to strip, for security purposes. |
