403MHz, and why the frequency matters

Sherlo works on 403MHz, while much of the gate automation market here uses 433 or 434MHz. A remote transmits on one frequency and a receiver listens on one frequency, and mismatched equipment simply does not communicate. Timers and relay boards

These are the parts that make one system talk to another. A relay board lets a low current signal switch a higher current device, such as an alarm output triggering a light. A timer module holds an output on for a set period, which is how a gate light stays on after the gate closes, or how a lock releases for a fixed number of seconds.
