(Tagboard target(s) not included, sold separately)

The ideal tool for catching lead pellets in your backyard, if you're not keen on spraying heavy metals over your lawn / garden / farmlands or if you'd like to recycle your pellets / slugs or recast them yourself to top up your ammunition supply.

Sheet steel conical formed air rifle pellet catcher, not intended for catching BBs or >40 ft.lbs lead air rifle ammunition. Bear in mind that, after pelting this trap with high velocity pellets that, after some time, this trap's product lifespan will be reasonably shortened.

As illustrated, the typical 140x140mm tagboard targets do loosely fit in the slot, so perhaps prestick at the bottom retaining groove should be added, especially if there is a bit of wind about. Also note that the retention is only on three sides, no retention on the top side.

Otherwise, the depth of this trap is 160mm, where from its broad entry point, the trap narrows gradually to about 30x30mm.

This trap can be mounted capping it onto an upright pole / rod, where the stopend on the one side will retain it from sliding down the pole. Alternatively, there is a 8mm hole at the rear, to allow this trap to mount over the countersunk head of a nail-in screw, then seat onto the nape of the screw shank - just make sure the screw is adequetely nailed in and use an adequately broad nail - the shank tolerance is up to 4mm. also bear in mind that there is just one hole.

We recommend the latter method of mounting the rearmost panel is tilted open, meaning that if you shoot in the bull's eye region, your pellet should hit against the rear panel and fall into the collecting base of the square tube.

Otherwise, this panel is of decent quality and is also highly magnetic, so just be aware.

The bright green should allow you to readily spot it out amongst vegetation, whilst not being too much of an eye sore in the garden if you leave it mounted after shooting. Also worth noting is that, since it is steel, it will be liable to rust, so we recommend touching the paint up if able or otherwise, apply corrosion inhibitor or rust converter. This trap also doesn't have any metal primer as a base coating. It is compiled by using both smaller rivots and arc welding.
