PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Handy trail camera, slightly smaller than a carton of milk. The TFT screen from opposing corner to corner, is 50mm, just about 2". The interface as you'll see in the video down below, is remotely controlled w/ a small remote w/ directional keypad interface, as illustrated. Be sure to direct it at the camera when using.
As the Mini USB port suggests, along w/ the inclusion of the relevant cable - this module can be accessed via a computer. It is assumed that the supplied CD contains the drivers necessary, however, you could likely find them online as well. Windows 10 also normally downloads the drivers directly from devices like these and auto-assigns COM ports. Just make sure the Baud rate is corrected if the downloading / uploading doesn't properly work or if the driver refuses to interact with this module.
In terms of "TF" card slot per the illustrations - this is just an SD card slot, there shouldn't be a need to format the SD card in any specific manner. If you do need an SD card, please search "SAMSUNG 32G EVO PLUS SD CARD" in our listing. Cheap and comes w/ an adapter as well.
The top section has a 9V DC female jack, which you can power this module with should you wish to run this as a wired camera. Though, for most cases, it will likely be used w/ a battery of AA cells and if you have those in the correct voltage, you could opt for 14500's. Also on top, is the co-axial threaded adapter for the supplied aerial, which btw has an upright, 45 and 180° locking angle. The adapter has male threading, but the coaxial pin inserts into it. The thread here is M6x1.
The overall finish on the camera will help keep this camouflaged, though keep it mounted in the shade somewhere, especially closer to early dusk and late dawn when the sun rays will not refract off of the optic lenses and might give away this module's location. It usually is at about that time when thieves skulk through bushes, bundus and green belts, and will most likely try to nab this module if they see it. Alternatively, mount it out of reach, though getting mug shots that way will be a bit trickier.
The mug comes w/ a darker olive strap, however, w/ a shiney plated spring-loaded retainer. We strongly recommend spraying that over if you intended on tree-mounting this module somewhere, where it could be nabbed. Same goes for the bottom latch.
