- 1x HATSAN GALATIAN TACT SEMI-AUTO PCP synth stock w/ pistol grip & collpapsible stock
- 3x Aluminium 12 shot self-indexing magazine w/ red polymer indexer in .22 cal.
- Brass filling probe w/ dowty washer - you'll need to purchase the male Q/C part w/ female threading separately
- 1x Removable rear sight assembly
- 1x Knurled degasser (for degassing the air reservoir)
- Some spare O-rings
- Foregrip is sometimes supplied with, though not guaranteed.
This is certainly a really, REALLY smart rifle that fires semi-auto - The cocking bolt as illustrated, is just to clear the breech to load up your magazine, thereafter, to chamber your first round. The rifle does sport a realistic "shotgun" type of look - the air reservoir resembles the loader tube whilst the recessed barrel inside of the barrel shroud, may lend to a 12GA bore appearance.
The furniture on this rifle is completely synthetic and hard-wearing, featuring dual sided diamond checkering on the fore of the stock for your offhand. The pistol grip certainly is nice, allowing for superior control over the rifle especially in up-down swing situations, where the bore, basically, will have to be directed from the ground, into a "tactical direction" and back down again repeatedly.
We would normally also recommend, for closer distances, recommend a red dot w/ riser for easy and quick target acquisition, otherwise something like the VECTOR OPTICS 1-4X20 IR RIFLE SCOPE that comes included w/ Picatinny mount rings, will do the job. Alternatively, if you'd like to do some long range shooting w/ this rifle, then look at something like a 3-9x40 AO telescope. For beyond 100 m's, look at something like a 4-16x40/50 AO or SF. We do know of some customers who reliably push pellets at those distances using the BLITZ, for example, although this rifle may not be perfectly suited for those types of distances. As you might've guessed - to add a scope / optical sighting device on top, you'll need to remove the rear sight first.
The collapsible stock does make it easy to navigate and shoot on the fly with this rifle, especially when varying from constricted spaces, to open prone positions. For further improving on the ergonomy that this rifle offers, you can adjust the comb piece as well - just loosen the two jumbo flat-drive panhead screws on the right face of the rifle, by means of a 50c coin or a proper flat drive screwdriver. This comb piece can then be set to your personal eye-relief preference behind your sights / optical sighting device, for faster and more natural target acquisition. At the rear of the buttstock, you have a triangularly-vented rubber buttplate that squishes slightly into your shoulder and further improves shooting ergonomy.
Moreover, if desired, this stock can be removed altogether, by punching out the retainer pin (believe it is a beefy M6 / M8) - just push the stock in toward the receiver a little when punching the pin out and apply some multi-purpose lubricant to encourage the pin, if it is stubborn for whatever reason. This will give you a nice stock-less PCP rifle that might be even more manageable in tighter spaces. In this setup, w/ a zeroed-in quality laser pointer such as the following that we stock;
- HAWKE TACTICAL LASER KIT GREEN 43101
you'll be able to recoillessly hip-fire at most anything up to 30 meters, which can be alot of of fun.
The fore of the stock, features three Picatinny rail strips, two of which sit at opposite right angles from the under-stock one. Hereupon you can mount tactical accessories such as laser pointers, laser beams or an (offset) flashlight (a bracket which we supply as well). Alternatively, you can mount a long eye-relief red dot sight, as an alternate target-acquisition method, for closer distance shooting should you already, for example, have a longer range optic mounted atop the rifle action, or have it set in a higher magnification setting, but need to take a quick, fast shot at a closeby target.
Furthermore, this rifle features a set of integrated sling swivels which are of robust quality. They swivel back and forth and if need by, can be rotated to a right angle, though we don't recommend rotating beyond this. In this way, you can carry the rifle on the fore of your torso, diagonally, or in a more traditional AMERICAN or EUROPEAN style, however it suits you.
As mentioned previously, the air reservoir does thread out, even when full (which will retain the air pressure), to swop out for another filled air reservoir, for example, when your current one is empty and you need your rifle re-pressurized. the advantage of this, is that the air reservoir's footprint is considerably smaller. No need to waste time in the field w/ a scuba tank, filling station and a fillwhip and filling probe, that needs to be hitched up to your air reservoir, then topped up - Just thread the empty reservoir out and thread to spare / full one on. Really nice!
Otherwise, if you would like to shoot this rifle quietly, that is an option - You'll need a silencer adapter though;
- TACTICA HATSAN GALATIAN 1/2" UNF SILENCER ADAPTER
then opt for a proper silencer as well. Something like the
- DACHS AIR RIFLE SILENCER, .30 - 1/2X20" UNF
will do the job just fine. Otherwise, if you need more noise instead, look at a muzzle brake instead.
