A DVR is the recording hub of any analogue CCTV installation, converting the video signal from your cameras into stored, searchable footage. NeonSales stocks 4, 8, 16 and 32 channel digital video recorders from Hikvision, Dahua and EZVIZ, covering everything from a two camera home setup to a full commercial site.
This guide explains how the different DVR camera system options compare, what the channel counts and resolutions actually mean, and how to match a recorder to the cameras you already own.
Orders are dispatched from local stock with tracked nationwide courier delivery. Our team can help confirm compatibility before you order, and after sales support is available for setup and configuration questions.
Filter the range by channel count, brand and resolution to narrow down your options.

A DVR records analogue cameras connected by coaxial cable, processing the video signal inside the recorder itself. An NVR handles IP cameras over network cabling, where the camera does the encoding. If your existing cabling is coaxial, a DVR is the correct choice.
An 8 channel DVR supports up to eight analogue cameras. Several Hikvision and Dahua models also accept additional IP camera inputs beyond the analogue channels, so check the specification sheet if you plan to mix camera types on one recorder.
Most DVR units are supplied without storage, allowing you to select drive capacity based on how many days of footage you need. Selected eSSD and bundled models include built in storage or a pre-installed hard drive, which is stated in the product listing.
