CO2 or HPA for paintball?

The practical difference shows up as consistency. CO2 velocity drops as the cylinder cools during rapid firing and varies between a hot afternoon and a cold morning. HPA delivers the same pressure throughout, which is why anyone chasing accuracy or shooting an electronic marker moves to it eventually.

Steel shot, BBs and pellets are not interchangeable

Worth checking before ordering, since these sit next to each other. 4.5mm steel shot and BBs are round and fired from smoothbore BB guns. 4.5mm and 5.5mm pellets are diabolo shaped and fired from rifled airguns. 6mm plastic or steel BBs are airsoft. Putting steel shot through a rifled barrel damages the rifling, and pellets will not feed in a BB gun. Match the ammunition to what the specific gun takes.

Common questions

What is the difference between the steel shot finishes? Nickel clad, copper clad and black are coatings over the same steel core. The coating affects corrosion resistance and feed smoothness rather than performance.

What size pepper spray should I choose? 40ml is compact enough for a handbag or pocket. 100ml gives more capacity and range for a vehicle or home. Direct stream, as stocked here, carries further and drifts less than a fogger.

What is a burst disc? A safety component in a CO2 or HPA tank that fails deliberately at a set pressure to prevent rupture. It is a wear part, replaced rather than repaired.
