Ease of field stripping
This is a really lovely blank gun, with a higher magazine capacity that cycles well. The handle itself has a bit of length to it, but has a flat profile - it features stippled panels on both sides that are lightly / superficially textured, likewise, featuring GLOCK GEN 3 type finger grooves w/ corresponding stippling - centrifugal ramp texturing w/ blunt angles that grips into one's fingers - the offhand 3 fingers (baby, ring and middle finger). The pistol frame otherwise does feature a faint backstop at the base of the handle, likewise features a dropped ambidextrous thumb rest, likewise w/ an indent for one's thumb and index finger to sink into slightly.
The cocking serrations on the slide sits in front of the safety levers, that have a shallow gilled appearance w/ the sharper angles directed forwardly for easier cocking. Behind this of course, is the ambidextrous safety levers that are dually stepped for ease of toggling. This lever produces a succinct toggle sound when the lever is repositioned to a different mode.
The underbarrel Picatinny rail features only one slot though (the forwardly one), thus, do bear in mind when considering the purchase of an optic.
The pistol does cock rather easy - the hammer actuates w/ minimal effort, featuring an ergonomical ridge on top w/ cross-serrations to allow the pistol to cock easily. The slide likewise, cocks easily, compared to the likes of the RETAY MOD 92 & BLOW F92, where one requires more effort to rack the slide / needs to use the safety lever as backstop to rack the slide.
The base of the handle features a sling loop behind the magazine baseplate, to allow one to attach a lanyard and otherwise prevent one from losing the pistol / suffering theft of said pistol.
The magazine otherwise is your typical Turkish type - Sheet steel w/ a light anti-corrosive finish / lower grade blue w/ polymer magazine follower, magazine floorplate, magazine baseplate and magazine spring. These are really well finished and crisp - never featuring the hiccups that some other manufacturer's magazines tend to give, due to cheaper manufacture.
As mentioned - the pistol is Single Action and Double Action, which is really lovely - the trigger reset likewise short, as is the Single Action trigger pull and breaks crisp enough for a blank gun.
It is a beefier pistol, despite being more compact than the long and lean Beretta 92, for example and certainly has a KUZEY A100 feel to it.
Has a tactical feel to it w/ the polymer frame etc, however, has more vintage pistol features such as being hammer fired, SA/DA functionality, slide mounted safety lever
Slide mounted ambidextrous type - positively clicks into a toggle position. The lever is low profiled and likewise, toggles with ease.
Ease of Field Strip
9/10. Very Easy - Rotate the field strip lever from the 3 'o clock position, clockwise, to the 6 'o clock position, then withdraw the lever fromn the frame. The slide should be able to hitch off the rear of the pistol frame. The reverse of this procedure allows for the reassembly of this pistol - the field strip lever plugs into the frame and by pushing it in firm whilst rotating, the key notch on said lever will clear the blowback rod indexer out the way and allow itself to be plugged back into the frame via its corresponding hole.
Lanyard loophole
Yes, behind magazine floorplate
Removable gripstocks
None. Feel free to purchase a rubber slip-on grip for this pistol handle instead, for improved handling traction.
Magazine Release
Traditional - Low profile tab that follows the silhouette of the pistol frame closely. A slight and short depress of this button will eject the magazine via the base of the handle. The flush design of this lever is really smart and intuitive. Not obtrusive.
