The Snowpeak B11P Camo is the kind of air rifle that earns its keep. Whether you're punching paper at 25 metres, controlling pigeons on a smallholding, or introducing a new shooter to proper marksmanship fundamentals, this .22 calibre (5.5mm) break-barrel puts pellets exactly where the sights say they'll go.
Cock it once, load a single pellet, close the barrel, and squeeze. That simplicity is the point. There are no CO₂ cartridges to replace, no pumping sequences to remember, and no batteries to charge. The spring-piston action generates between 850 and 1,000 fps depending on pellet weight, which is more than enough energy for pest management and target shooting out to moderate distances.
Accuracy starts with the precision rifled steel barrel measuring 480 mm in length. The rifling imparts consistent spin on every pellet, and the barrel length gives the projectile time to stabilise before it leaves the muzzle. Backing that up are TRUGLO fibre optic sights on both the front and rear posts. The bright fibre optic dots pick up ambient light and give you a fast, clear sight picture even in low-light conditions at dawn or dusk. The rear sight is micro-adjustable for both windage and elevation, so you can dial in your zero precisely without guesswork. If you prefer magnified optics, the receiver features a grooved rail with a mounted scope stop that prevents creep under recoil.
Safety is built into the mechanics at two levels. An automatic safety engages every time you cock the rifle, requiring a deliberate release before each shot. An anti bear-trap mechanism locks the barrel in the open position during loading, preventing it from snapping shut on your fingers if the latch slips. These aren't optional extras. They're integrated into the action.
The stock wears a camo pattern finish that blends naturally into bush and farmland environments. A rubber butt pad absorbs the spring-piston recoil pulse, which makes extended shooting sessions more comfortable and protects the stock from hard surfaces when you lean the rifle against a wall or vehicle. Overall weight sits at approximately 3.8 kg with a total length of around 1,140 mm, giving the rifle a solid feel in the hands without being cumbersome to carry over distance.
The polymer trigger blade breaks at between 4 and 8.5 lbf, which is typical for this class of air rifle and predictable enough to develop consistent shot placement with practice.
A straightforward, well-built break-barrel that does exactly what a .22 air rifle should do. Buy the Snowpeak B11P Camo 5.5mm online at NeonSales, delivered anywhere in South Africa.
