Mounting a RoboGuard beam on a flat, perpendicular wall directly opposite another flat, perpendicular wall is the ideal scenario. In practice, that almost never happens. Walls angle away from each other. Pillars sit at odd positions. Fence posts don't face the direction you need the beam to point. The RoboGuard ball bracket solves every one of these alignment problems with a single adjustable mount that lets you swivel the beam up to 180° to aim it precisely where it needs to go, regardless of what angle the mounting surface sits at.
The bracket is machined from aluminium, giving it the structural rigidity to hold a RoboGuard unit firmly in position without flexing, sagging, or drifting out of alignment over time. Plastic brackets might hold initially, but UV exposure, temperature cycling, and the constant vibration from wind eventually cause them to soften and shift. Aluminium doesn't have that problem. Once you tighten the ball joint and lock the angle, it stays exactly where you set it.
The ball joint mechanism provides smooth rotational adjustment during installation. Loosen the central bolt, rotate the RoboGuard to the required angle, and lock it down. The reinforced ribbed body visible on the mounting plate distributes clamping force evenly across the joint, preventing the single-point stress that causes cheaper swivel mounts to crack at the pivot.
The flat base plate at the bottom of the bracket accepts screws for mounting to any solid surface: brick walls, concrete pillars, wooden fence posts, steel gate frames, or palisade fencing uprights. Pre-drilled holes in the base make positioning straightforward, and the compact footprint means the bracket doesn't need a large mounting area to sit securely.
For installers working on perimeter beam systems where the transmitter and receiver don't face each other squarely, this bracket eliminates the need for custom fabrication or improvised shimming. It's a purpose-built solution for the most common alignment challenge in outdoor beam installation.
The bracket that makes awkward beam alignments straightforward. Buy the RoboGuard ball bracket online at NeonSales, delivered across South Africa.
