Nextorch WL22G Green Laser Gunlight, 650 Lumens
The difference between this unit and its red laser sibling comes down to how eyes work rather than how lasers work. Human vision is most sensitive close to the green part of the visible spectrum, so a green dot of a given power appears considerably brighter than a red one at the same rating. The Nextorch WL22G uses that to stay visible in conditions where red begins to wash out: at dusk, at longer distances, and against pale or cluttered backgrounds.
WL22G output and running time
The white channel produces up to 650 lumens with a beam distance of 102 metres. Power comes from a built in 250 mAh rechargeable battery giving 1 hour of runtime, topped up through the unit's own Type-C port rather than through separate cells and an external charger.
Size, mounting and sealing
The housing measures 55 by 30 by 36 millimetres and weighs 74 grams with the battery installed, built from aerospace aluminium with a hard anodised finish. The patented rail mount goes on and comes off single handedly. Impact resistance is rated to 1 metre and water resistance to IPX4.
