Nextorch E52 Super Bright Type-C Rechargeable EDC Flashlight
Everyday carry is a weight argument before it is anything else. The Nextorch E52 weighs 117 grams and measures 145 millimetres, and it produces 2500 lumens, which is an unusual amount of light for something that size and the reason it qualifies as an everyday torch rather than a bag torch.
The E52 output range
Three levels plus strobe and momentary on. Maximum is 2500 lumens reaching 185 metres for 2 hours 15 minutes. The middle setting gives 500 lumens reaching 85 metres for 8 hours. The lowest gives 15 lumens reaching 14 metres and runs for 60 hours, which is the setting for finding a keyhole or moving around a dark house without waking anyone.
Charging and construction
The Type-C quick charging port is hidden rather than exposed, so there is no rubber flap to perish and no open socket collecting pocket lint. Power comes from an included 21700 cell rated 4800 mAh. The body is aerospace aluminium alloy with a Type III hard anodised finish, 27 millimetres across the body and 30 millimetres at the head, rated impact resistant to 2 metres and sealed to IPX8 for immersion to 2 metres.
