The E51 is a straightforward proposition: a CREE XP-L V6 emitter, an included 18650 cell, and 1000 lumens at the top of the range. Below that sit 270 lumens for 5 hours and 25 lumens for 55 hours, with a peak beam distance of 200 metres and a strobe on a double click.
Diamond knurling gives a secure grip with gloves on, and the pushbutton tail cap handles both momentary and full activation. Charging happens internally through a micro USB port with the 18650 fitted, and an indicator glows red while charging and green when full, so the state of the battery is never a guess.
The hard anodised aluminium body is 131 millimetres long and weighs 77 grams. It is rated IPX-8, submersible to 2 metres, and impact resistant to 1 metre. A stainless steel pocket clip and hand strap are included.
