The Omni 3K folds. Two COB panels rotate on a body with a rotating magnetic handle, so the same unit works as a lantern standing on a table, a work light stuck to steel, a directional light aimed at something, or a tripod mounted floodlight, depending purely on how you arrange it.
Both panels on high give 3000 lumens to 70 metres for an hour, dropping to 300 lumens and 4 hours on low. A single panel gives 1500 lumens to 50 metres for 2 hours, or 150 lumens for 8. A red COB mode runs 7 lumens for 15 hours, with a strobe version stretching to 20.
Running one panel rather than two is the setting that gets overlooked. It halves the output and doubles the endurance, which for most tasks is the better trade.
The internal 4000 mAh cell charges over USB-C in about 3 hours and will also charge a phone, which makes the light part of the power plan for a trip rather than one more thing needing power itself.
It weighs 530 grams and folds to 127 millimetres tall by 136 wide, opening flat to 178. A quarter inch tripod thread, the magnetic handle and a non slip rubber coating between them cover mounting and grip. Protection is IPX4 against water with impact resistant construction, and a battery charging indicator is fitted. Operation is a rear on and off button with two more for brightness.
