Nebo Mycro 500 Plus Headlamp: 85 grams, and the clip comes off so it works on a cap
The Mycro 500 Plus is a headlamp that converts into a cap light. A detachable clip with adjustable tilt lets it come off the strap and onto the brim of a cap, a jacket pocket or a bag, which suits anyone who finds a head strap uncomfortable or simply already has a hat on.
The Mycro 500 Plus light sources
A spotlight handles distance: Turbo gives 500 lumens to 90 metres in 30 second intervals, High holds 200 lumens to 60 metres for an hour, Medium 100 lumens for 2 hours, Low 30 lumens for 3. A COB flood handles everything close in, at 200 lumens for 25 minutes on high or 50 lumens for an hour on low, plus a 25 lumen red mode.
Direct-to-Red means red comes on first without white firing in between, which is the point of having it at all.
Weight and build
Eighty five grams including the strap is light enough to forget you are wearing, which is the single most important quality in a headlamp. Smart Power Control manages output against charge, protection is IPX4 with impact resistant construction, and charging is USB-C. The adjustable strap is one size, and the unit measures 73 by 31 by 26 millimetres.
