Turbo on the Davinci 18000 is quoted at 30 second intervals rather than as a runtime, and that is the most informative line in the specification. Eighteen thousand lumens generates an enormous amount of heat in a handheld body. Any torch claiming to sustain it is either not producing it or is quietly cooking itself.
The torch monitors its own temperature and manages output against it rather than running a fixed timer. Closed loop means the light responds to actual conditions: on a cold night with wind over the body it can hold high output longer than it could sitting in a hot vehicle, and it adjusts instead of guessing.
Smart Power Control works alongside it, balancing output against remaining charge so the torch degrades gracefully rather than cutting out at full brightness with no warning.
High gives 10,000 lumens to 189 metres for 2 hours, which is a genuinely enormous amount of sustained light. Medium runs 5,000 lumens to 133 metres for 3 hours. Low provides 800 lumens to 53 metres for 12 hours, and 800 lumens is what most torches call high.
Turbo reaches 253 metres and exists for the moment you need to see something now. Strobe runs at the full 18,000 lumens. Direct-to-Low startup means the torch comes on gently rather than blinding you and everyone nearby.
This is 350 millimetres long, 65 millimetres across and weighs 527 grams. It is not a pocket torch, a jacket torch or an everyday carry item. It lives in a vehicle, a kit bag or a workshop and comes out when the job needs an unreasonable amount of light. The 2x zoom is modest because at this output the beam is already wide and bright enough that focusing is not the main event.
A 5000 mAh 21700 lithium ion pack at 7.4 V supplies it, charged over USB-C, with a detachable lanyard and cable included. Operation is a side button for power and a magnetic mode select dial. The body is anodised aircraft grade aluminium, IP67 rated against dust and water and impact resistant. Colour temperature runs 6500 to 7500 K.
