Bluetooth pairing opens up control you cannot get from a switch. You can set the brightness levels the lamp steps through so it cycles only between the two or three you actually use, adjust output precisely rather than in fixed jumps, and operate the lamp remotely, which is useful when it is mounted rather than worn. Settings persist through the Memory Function, so the lamp comes back on where you left it.
The output ladder
Boost delivers 2000 lumens and reaches up to 220 metres. Power holds 900 lumens to 200 metres for around 3.5 hours, Mid Power gives 300 lumens to 100 metres for roughly 10 hours, and Low Power runs 20 lumens to 25 metres for up to 90 hours. Adaptive Light Beam Technology manages output and focus automatically as you move between close work and distance, and the Digital Advanced Focus System is there when you want to take the beam back under manual control.
Ninety hours at the low setting is the figure that changes how you plan. Multi day trips and long shifts stop requiring a charging strategy, and the Backup Mode holds a reserve for when the pack finally does run down.
Build and protection
The housing is aluminium alloy, the whole lamp weighs 194 grams, and it carries an IP68 rating, meaning dust tight and rated for submersion rather than splash resistance. It survives a 2 metre drop and operates from minus 20 to plus 40 degrees Celsius. A Temperature Control System manages heat so output stays consistent instead of throttling unpredictably, and the Transportation Lock stops the lamp waking up inside a pack. Charging runs through the Magnetic Charge System over USB-C and takes about 4.5 hours from empty.
