Give your camera the optical precision it needs. The Hikvision HV3816P-8MPIR is an 8-megapixel, P-iris varifocal lens designed for professional CCTV installations. With a 3.8–16 mm zoom range, CS-mount fitting and a high-quality aspherical design, this lens delivers crisp detail, controlled depth of field and dependable performance in changing light — perfect for entrances, retail counters, corridors and medium-range surveillance tasks.
If you want useful footage rather than fuzzy wide-angle impressions, a quality varifocal lens is key. The HV3816P-8MPIR lets you tune the field of view on site, then lock focus and zoom for consistent image framing. The P-iris keeps exposure and depth of field stable as lighting changes, which is especially useful in scenes with bright highlights or mixed indoor/outdoor lighting.
This lens is rated for up to 8 MP on a 1/1.8" image circle. It will perform well on many high-resolution cameras, but check your camera’s sensor size and mounting flange to ensure full coverage without vignetting.
P-iris requires an electronic iris driver or camera input that supports P-iris control. If your camera doesn’t support P-iris, the lens can still be used manually but you’ll lose the automatic electronic iris benefits.
The lens itself is an optical accessory and should be installed inside a suitable camera housing or weatherproof enclosure for outdoor use.
The Hikvision HV3816P-8MPIR lens pairs precision optics with practical install flexibility — ideal for technicians and integrators who want crisp, reliable images across a variety of scenes. Add it to your kit when you need tunable field of view, tight control of exposure and full use of high-resolution camera sensors.
Short blurb (for collection pages): Hikvision HV3816P-8MPIR — 8 MP P-iris varifocal lens 3.8–16 mm (CS-mount). Precision optics for professional CCTV systems.
