Overview
The Hikvision DS-2SE4C215MWG-E/12(F0) is a dual-channel TandemVu network speed-dome combining a wide-angle fixed view and a motorised 15× optical zoom PTZ channel in one compact housing. Designed for outdoor perimeter and large-area monitoring, it delivers broad coverage and fine detail in one unit.
Key benefits
- 2 MP resolution (1920 × 1080) across both channels for efficient storage and clear viewing.
- TandemVu design: fixed wide channel plus 15× optical zoom channel reduce total camera count and simplify coverage.
- Powered-by-DarkFighter low-light technology and ColorVu support for strong performance after dark.
- Supplement lighting: wide channel white-light up to ~30 m; zoom channel IR up to ~100 m for night-time clarity.
- Outdoor ready: IP66 rated, pan 360°, tilt down to -15°, built for South African conditions. Technical specifications
-

Recommended applications
- Large outdoor areas, perimeter fences, logging yards and estates where both wide-angle coverage and zoom detail are needed.
- Transport hubs, parking lots and campuses requiring advanced tracking, zoom and surveillance flexibility.
- Installations where reducing total camera count is important but high coverage and performance can’t be compromised.
Installation notes
- Ensure mounting height allows the PTZ channel’s 15× zoom to reach relevant details (faces, plates) while still covering wide view from the fixed channel.
- Check PoE budget if using PoE+, especially since heater/lighting functions may increase power draw.
- Configure presets, patrols and pattern scans during commissioning to fully utilise the PTZ channel’s capabilities.
- Update firmware and enable HTTPS, strong passwords and VLAN segmentation to secure network access.
- Seal camera junctions and cabling entries to prevent moisture ingress and maintain long-term reliability in outdoor South African environments.
