Product Description
Nice little telescope, supplied in a one piece carton box w/ hinging lid. The scope is supplied w/ a sunshade that threads onto the objective, whereafter the objective flip cap should be able to fit onto this. The scope's paralax setting is on the left side (Side Focus) instead of like other budget scopes, where the paralax setting would be in the form of a rotational bezel on the objective of the telescope. In conjunction with this, the manufacturer supplies a shark fin plastic paralax assist with, which affixes to the SF knob, but doesn't do so by means of traditional fasteners and neither does this lever have any paralax setting markings on it - only a serrated edge to better manipulate the lever by. You attach this by threading off the hub cap, press the throw lever on, then reset the hub cap. Very fast and it does work fine. The shark fin shape creates a manipulation tip that is easy to work with, though not our cup of tea. On the other hand, alot of shooters do specifically appreciate the shark fin paralax lever.
You're also supplied w/ a nifty little zoom throw lever, again plastic and creates a snag point just high enough for easy manipulation, but not high enough to be a nuisance in the bush when trekking through the thickery. The plastic lens caps are self-explanatory and do positively click shut. They are spring loaded and thus, only have 2 positions.
Really neat for the price and certainly nothing wrong w/ the optical clarity, but again, not exactly HAWKE quality by any standard. However, considering everything that you get included here, especially w/ the magnification range, its really not a bad deal, especially for the occasional shooter who do not worry too much about tracking accuracy on the knobs, for example, or that the subtensions are precisely spaced 1 MRAD apart. That being said - this is a MOA / MRAD scope, just btw.
Otherwise, you have pop-up turrets that negate the need for turret caps that take a while to thread off, and the markings too, are resetable to your optical zero for whatever distance that may be.
