A wooden bat cracks. An aluminium bat dents. The Cold Steel Brooklyn Whopper does neither. Moulded from a single piece of heavy-duty polypropylene, this 38-inch bat absorbs impacts that would split timber and keeps coming back for more. Cold Steel designed it as a virtually indestructible training tool, and that reputation has made it one of the most recognised names in the defensive bat category worldwide.
The material is the entire story here. Polypropylene is a high-density polymer that flexes under extreme force rather than fracturing, which means the Brooklyn Whopper can take full-power swings against heavy bags, tyres, and training dummies without developing the stress fractures that retire wooden bats after a few hard sessions. It won't rot, warp, or splinter regardless of how it's stored, and it shrugs off moisture, heat, and UV exposure without degrading.
At 38 inches, the Whopper is the longest variant in the Brooklyn range, giving you maximum reach and leverage. The extra length generates serious momentum on a full swing, making it a popular choice for batting practice, martial arts striking drills, and defensive training. The polypropylene grip is moulded directly into the handle rather than wrapped on as a separate component, so there's nothing to unravel, slip, or wear through over time.
Weight and balance sit close to a traditional wooden bat, which means muscle memory developed with the Whopper transfers directly to a real game bat. For self-defence purposes, the combination of reach, impact resistance, and zero maintenance makes it a practical option to keep at home, at the office, or in the boot of your car.
Built to take punishment that would destroy conventional bats. Buy the Cold Steel Brooklyn Whopper 38-inch online at NeonSales, delivered anywhere in South Africa.
