This is not a presentation pointer. The Andowl WLW-015 is a 5000mW Class IV blue laser operating at 450nm wavelength, producing a concentrated beam visible at distances of up to 12,000 feet in clear conditions. At this power output, the beam is capable of igniting materials at close range and projecting a clearly defined line across a night sky that can be seen from kilometres away.
The body is machined from aircraft-grade aluminium with a silver anodised finish that resists scratching and dissipates heat effectively during operation. At 210 mm long and 27 mm in diameter, the laser sits in the hand like a compact torch, weighing just 150 grams. The click-on/click-off switch provides simple one-handed operation, and the adjustable focus lets you tighten the beam to a pinpoint for distance work or widen it for closer applications.
The kit ships with everything you need to operate immediately. Two 16340 lithium rechargeable batteries and a wall charger are included, along with laser safety goggles rated for the 450nm wavelength. A set of five star cap lenses screw onto the aperture to split the beam into geometric star patterns for visual effects and demonstrations. Everything stores inside the included aluminium carrying case, keeping the laser, batteries, goggles, and lenses organised and protected during transport.
Beam specifications are precise: 1 mm beam diameter at the aperture, 1.5 mRad divergence, and linear polarisation at a 50:1 ratio. Output stabilises within one minute of activation with a variance of approximately 10%, after which the beam delivers a consistent continuous wave output.
A Class IV laser of this power level demands serious respect. Direct or reflected beam contact with eyes will cause permanent vision damage instantly. The included safety goggles must be worn during any use. These precautions are mandatory, not optional:
A serious piece of optical equipment that arrives ready to use with batteries, charger, goggles, effect lenses, and a protective case.
