UTG is the accessory line from Leapers, and the range covers the parts that turn a bare rifle into a set-up one: bipods, handguards, rail mounts, backup sights and magazines. Pricing sits well below the premium American names while covering the same fitments, which is why UTG parts turn up on so many builds. NeonSales carries 104 UTG products, from R259 for a carry handle rail mount up to R7,568 for a Goliath bipod.
Most current handguards including the ARWEN and Forerunner use M-LOK, with short Picatinny sections added where needed. Check which system your existing lights, grips and bipod adapters use before buying a handguard, since the hardware is not interchangeable.
A free float handguard attaches only at the receiver and does not touch the barrel anywhere along its length. That matters because anything pressing on a barrel changes its harmonics, and a bipod or a sling attached to a non-free-float handguard transmits that pressure directly. The result is a point of impact that shifts depending on how hard you are loading the bipod. Free floating removes that variable, which is why it is standard on accuracy-focused builds.
Height first. The Tactical OP at 5.9 to 7.6 inch suits prone shooting off flat ground. The Goliath at 8 to 12 inch handles uneven terrain and sitting positions. Then attachment: Picatinny mounts directly to a rail, while sling swivel stud models fit conventional hunting stocks. The Recon 360 adds panning, which lets you track laterally without repositioning the whole rifle.
What does ACCU-SYNC do? The flip up sights fold flat when not needed and deploy when you want them, so they sit under an optic without obstructing it. Buy front and rear together, since one alone is not a sight picture.
Will the AK side mount hold zero? The QD side mount is designed to return to zero when removed and refitted, which is the point of a quick detach mount. A worn or loose mount will not, so check the fit on your receiver.
Is the windowed magazine worth it? The window lets you see remaining rounds at a glance rather than counting or removing the magazine.
Which handguard length? Longer gives more mounting space and a further forward support hand position. Match it to your barrel length and gas system rather than choosing on preference alone.
