Nitecore sits among the serious flashlight brands, and what distinguishes the range here is that it covers the whole system rather than only the lights. Cells and chargers are stocked alongside the torches, which matters because a high output light is only as good as the battery in it. NeonSales carries 30 Nitecore products, from R159 for a 14500 cell up to R2,875 for a P30i searchlight.
The numbers are literally the dimensions in millimetres. Larger cells hold more energy, which is why the brightest torches use 21700 rather than 18650. Cells are not interchangeable across formats, so buy for the light you own rather than by capacity alone.
Many Nitecore torches charge over USB directly, which is fine for one light. A dedicated charger earns its place once you own several lights or spare cells, since it charges cells outside the torch and lets you rotate a charged spare in rather than waiting. The UMS4 handles four at once. The UI1 is the single slot option for one spare.
Charging lithium cells in an appropriate charger also matters for safety. These are not AA batteries, and a proper charger monitors each cell rather than applying a fixed current.
The MT06MD is only 180 lumens, which looks modest until you notice CRI 90. Colour rendering index measures how accurately a light source shows colour against daylight. For medical use that is the whole point, since a high output light with poor colour rendering distorts skin tone and makes assessment harder. It is a specialist tool rather than a dim torch.
Which torch for hunting? The NEW P30 or P30i, both built for throw rather than flood. The P30i reaches 1000 metres and is the stronger of the two.
What is the difference between P20i and P30i? The P20i is a tactical light at 1800 lumens, sized for carry and duty use. The P30i is a searchlight at 2000 lumens built for distance.
Can I use unprotected cells? Use what the torch specifies. Nitecore cells include protection circuitry, and substituting bare cells from elsewhere is a common cause of trouble.
Does the NL2150R need a charger? No, it charges over USB directly. That makes it convenient as a spare without needing the charger.
