Fenix Flashlights, Headlamps and Weapon Lights in South Africa

Fenix builds serious portable lighting for people who need a torch to work every time rather than most of the time. The range is deeper than most brands at the high output end, and it extends into weapon-mounted lights with the switches and mounts to run them properly. NeonSales carries 32 Fenix products, from R290 for a pressure switch mount up to R6,516 for an HT30R.

What Fenix products does NeonSales stock?

Which Fenix for which job?

Type What it prioritises Best suited to
EDC (LD22, PD35R) Pocketable size with usable output Everyday carry, general property checks
Tactical (PD36 TAC, TK22R) Instant access, momentary switching Duty use where the light needs to come on now
High output (LR35R, LR40R) Raw lumens across a wide area Lighting up a yard or open ground
Thrower (HT30R) Beam distance over spread Reaching well beyond what a general torch covers
Weapon light (GL06, GL22) Rail mounting and remote switching Rifle and pistol mounting, paired with a pressure switch

Weapon lights need the switch too

A GL06 or GL22 on its own leaves you reaching for a tail cap. The AER-05 remote switch and ALG-05 pressure switch mount are what make a weapon light usable, since they put activation where your hand already is. Budget for them at the same time rather than discovering the gap after mounting.

Throw or flood?

This decides more than lumens. A thrower like the HT30R concentrates output into a tight beam that reaches a long way, which is what you want across open ground. A flood-biased light such as the LR40R spreads output wide and close, which suits searching a yard or working on something. High lumen numbers on a wide beam do not reach far, and a modest thrower will out-distance a brighter flood every time.

Common questions

What does the kit version include? PD36R Pro and HM71R kit versions add a compact E02R or E03R keychain light. Useful as a backup, and cheaper than buying the small light separately.

What is the LD32 UVC for? It combines a standard LED with UVC output used for surface sterilisation. A specialist tool rather than a general torch.

Are Fenix lumen ratings honest? They are measured to the ANSI standard, so they are comparable against other brands that do the same. Compare runtime at full output as well, since that is where cheaper lights fall short.

Rechargeable or battery? Most of this range is rechargeable, usually over USB-C. That suits daily use. For something stored in a vehicle for months, a light taking cells holds readiness better.
