Nice little gift combo for the birthday of a 10 y/o or likewise, a young boy looking at getting into shooting or otherwise plays too much FORTNITE and doesn't get enough time out in the sun. With this combo, you can start teaching him the basics of REAL rifle shooting and with some father-son time, much fun can be had outdoors and the making of a REAL marksman can be started, though that will require days and months of patience and continued effort.
This rifle weighs in just shy of 3 kilograms and is outfitted w/ a wooden stock. The barrel is fixed and unmoving in place, rifled of course and steel. The barrel/action assembly has the sights affixed ontop and have fibre optic inserts - amber in front and green at the rear. The rear sight is adjustable for both windage and elevation and there are dovetail rails milled out on top of the action. The rifle cocks by means of a hinging underlever (lever under the barrel that rests parallel to it, hinging out about 130° (as illustrated) to cock the rifle, which simultaneously opens the breech to single-load a pellet.
There is no sound moderator attached and the front sight is not shielded either. The safety mechanism is the tongue in front of the trigger, which actuates as illustrated as well. The buttplate is rubberized and does its job to absorb what little recoil this rifle produces.
The telescope included is a basic one, which does feature alot of chromatic abberation and isn't too clear, however, it is functional nevertheless - featuring a simple fine crosshair. It can be zeroed in of course, by removing the plastic turret caps. The lenses have separate caps as well for protecting the glass from dust-accumulation as well as scratching. The mount ring are factory-attached, so this ensures that your horizontal crosshair is perpendicular to the surface / parallel to the horizon. This comes in handy to perform your holdovers correctly - just mount it appropriately forwards or rearwards for your prefered eye-relief to your occular lense.
Otherwise, the rifle is very basic and does not feature much in the way of bells and whistles / premium features. It is a cheap rifle and will perform accordingly.
Just be sure to look after the rifle otherwise - normally we strongly advise against petroleum-based cleaners and lubricants, instead advising BALLISTOL UNIVERSAL OIL, AEROSOL or LIQUID OIL.
