MAVERICK KALASHNIKOV RIFLE BAG W/ MAG POUCHES

This is a rectangular 3/4 zip-down bag, which does feature decent foam padding on both sides. Each side is about 22.50mm thick, thanks to said padding, whereas the interior is lined out w/ cotton twill, for strength and durability, but also to minimize on the scuffing to your rifle. 

The carry handles are 38mm webbing, one complete, unbroken loop that runs down the height of the bag. The coupling of this webbing, is presumably concealed beneath the webbing reinforcing the book-shape of this bag. The top parts off the carry handle, just where they part with the bag, w/ reinforced stitching, to ensure the handles will not tear loose from the bag, despite the downward force of weight exerted on them. The fact that this carry handle webbing is joined only at the end, minimizes the weakpoints on the webbing.

Otherwise, the zippers are nickel-plated and beefy / easy to grab ahold of - about 40mm long, 15mm at the broadest (top), tappered down to 10mm at the base. These zips certainly has a feel of quality and smoothness to them, not the cheap type used by some other brands to cut on cost. The zip railing is beefy and likewise, more durable.

The material on the bag's outer, is the usual 600D ballistic grade nylon, as typically featured on MAVERICK's range of synthetic holsters.

The right face of the bag's exterior is featureless, whereas the left face, has 3x Kalashnikov magazine pouches for those banana shaped magazines w/ velcro-closing flaps. The surface area of said velcro, is 75x45mm, for both the male and female strips. The flaps themselves, are a double fold of material for longer wearing. The edges hereupon is double-row stitched as well.
In terms of the pouch dimensions specifically, we're looking at about 155mm deep, by about 68 - 70mm wide, which is ample for your magazines. The length of the flaps themselves are about 276mm in length, making a retainable height inside the pouch of about up to 255mm possible. As illustrated, there are 3x of these pouches sewn onto the bag itself.

Adjacent to the magazine pouches, we have a jumbo rectangular pouch measuring 140x250mm. This is a zipper pocket btw and does not feature any soft lining / felt inside, so please take care if storing any optical devices in this pocket. This pouch would otherwise suit about 2x boxes of 7.62x39 FMJ's. You can also chuck your REAL AVID® BORE BOSS in here, as well as some peanuts and raisins or biscuits for the road.

Otherwise, this is a really nice range and storage bag for this price and we certainly do recommend it.
