GAMO P-430 CO2 PISTOL .177 - DUAL FED

This is the GAMO 430 NBB pistol - really nice for what you are paying;

This piece is a 2-part clamshell assembly, complete plastic body w/ phillips drive screws fitting in via the right. The overall design does give a strong impression of a large auto striker-fired pistol. The pistol features a moulded-in open-top ejection port w/ cocking serrations both front and rear as well as top-sided extractor for added realism. That, w/ the semblance of a blowback rod peering out the front end of the slide, as well as the 9mm barrel diameter w/ grooves and landings moulded in, wherein, slightly recessed, the STEEL rifles .177 cal barrel can be seen. We emphasize the barrel material, as alot of CO2 pistols for somewhat cheaper, will have a brass or aluminium alloy barrel instead.

Under the under, you have a set of 3x Picatinny rail slots for affixing a laser dot pointer / flashlight, if so desired.

The magazine release is standard, featuring a nub that stands out and is easily depressed, which ejects the magazine stick. This magazine type features a set of 8 slot wheels, on either end of said stick, allowing one to reload the pistol off a fresh magazine, simply by turning the ejected magazine around and reinserting it. Quite nice.

The pistol does likewise bear the semblance of being striker fired.
The handle features horizontal serrations, that are quite gapped, to provide a decent amount of traction. For the weight of this pistol and its lack of recoil, we'd say that, that sort of ergonomy is plenty.

Our overall impression of this pistol is quite positive and in terms of build quality as well as features - we'd rank it above something like the BERSA THUNDER 9 PRO, as the pistol is likewise manufacturted in JAPAN.

Nice thing about this pistol, is that there is no white printing on the gun, which further adds to the realism of this pistol.

The safety tab btw is nice and crisp, requiring a little effort to push through and does positively click once done. The left face of this safety is red-encircled, so as to indicate, once disengaged, that the gun is hot.

The Gamo P-430 CO2 Dual-Ammo Air Pistol offers a unique feature for an airgun in this category and at this price point: the ability to shoot both pellets and BBs without needing special adapter cartridges or a separate magazine. Capable of velocities up to 495 FPS with alloy pellets, it delivers the performance needed for plinking and target practice.

This airgun utilizes a trigger which works in either single-action mode by using the slide for cocking, or double-action mode to both cock and shoot, which helps to simulate semi-auto operation by allowing the user to shoot as fast as their reflexes allow. The magazine is double-sided and has a 16-round capacity, with a rotary clip on each end that holds 8 rounds.

The Gamo P-430 is powered by a single 12-gram CO2 cartridge that is accessed by removing the back of the grip, and it features tool-free cartridge switching because of the thumbscrew that tightens to pierce and hold the cartridge and loosens to release the cartridge. The grip has texturing on both the left and right side, as well as ridges on the front and rear for a comfortable and non-slip hold.

In order to provide accurate shots, this air pistol utilizes a fixed front post sight and a fixed rear notch sight, and the Weaver accessory rail under the muzzle allows for the attachment of items such as lights and lasers.
