Black aluminium mount ring w/ plastic ring inserts, used to clamp around a scope tube to mount something atop or even on the side. This item does not however, replace one of the scope mount rings and nor does it just replace one of the caps on the mount rings. You could however, use just one part of this item and mount it on as such, though we do not advertise this item's slot as being perfectly spherical, so it may or may not work in conjunction w/ your scope mount rings.

 It features a double row of lock screws on each side to clamp the two halves of this part together and the bottom holes for the screws to thread into is tapped - there are no nut inserts.

This product is by no means for serious tactical applications, rather for informal use / plinking fun or as a makeshift implement / "making a plan" as they say. 

Not recommended for firearm application.

Despite its shortcomings, this product will nevertheless still perform as expected, since it is aluminium manufactured and would most certainly be useful for mounting a laser module for example, on top of -or on the side of your scope.
