This is the upgraded EKO VALVE pin for the SPYDER series of markers. As you guys might know, especially those who've owned a SPYDER marker for any length of time w/ a hefty spring upgrade - the valve pin for whatever reason, at the expense of the end-user, was manufactured w/ that broad-to-thin transition point which, when shooting this gun at high velocities after a while, will cause the stock pin to get bent, the white PTFE seal to misalign w/ the lip of the cylindrical chamber it seats into and thereby, causing a gas leak. This gas leak you can usually hear if you bring your ear closer to the lower receiver of the marker.
Owners would typically just take the pin out and bend it back straight, but anyone who has worked w/ metal for a length of time will likewise tell you that once metal is bent, a weak point is created on that bend line, that cannot be undone.
To counteract or rather, prevent this altogether, we decided to obtain -and stock for all you avid SPYDER owners / prospective SPYDER owners out there- this beefed-up pin that will handle all the abuse your high tension spring will send at it. Now instead of needing to bow down to restrictive manufacturing policies, we offer you guys the means to keep your trusty, tuned-up SPYDER marker running, whether this would be your home defence go-to, your CPF gun or your anti-riot company or government issue..
Now you can lob your nylons and acetals at high velocities, never needing to fear that your EKO VALVE PIN will yield again under stress!
* Please note that you will nevertheless still need to lubricate your marker on occasion. For this purpose, you could use additive-free silicone oil or SINGER OIL to keep your O-rings and your PTFE seal happy. Chuck some into the ASA and likewise, onto the cocking bolt assembly.
