1/8 BSP MALE Q/C FLEXI-SOCK W/ RETAINER

Sock intended to fit over 1/8" BSP male Q/C fittings. The loop end fits over the male threading, which in turn would thread into a female threaded hole and capture the sock so. We recommend not squashing this loop, as it will prevent the sock from being able to rotate around, which can come in handy, as opposed to having the sock fixed at a certain angle. Squashing the loop can also result in aggrevated wear / critical failure of the loop and consequential breakage.

The purpose of the sock of course, to prevent ingress into the male Q/C and likewise, fits over snug and stiff. This option is nice as you won't accidentally loose it, as with a loose sleeve. 

The sock fits about 3/4 over the male Q/C and doesn't come off on its own accord. You'll need to deliberately pull it off, which it does have a dedicated frontal tab for.

The entirety of this part is semi-flexible and won't just easily snap / shear apart. Good dimensional stability too! It does have a high Shore hardness for a flexible, and likely is injection-moulded TPU.
