Description:
THIS RIFLE COMES SUPPLIED W/ A CERTIFICATE FROM BLOOMFIELD, NY, SHOWING THE RIFLE'S SHOT GROUPING AT 10 YARDS, W/ FIVE SHOTS, USING CROSMAN PREMIER DOMED PELLETS. EACH SHOT OVERLAPS W/ ANOTHER. SEE ILLUSTRATED SAMPLE.
Considered an entry-level small game/pest control rifle, this gun will yield good performance for its price tag. Your best groupings with this rifle will be with the JSB RS 14.35 grain (+- 832 FPS) insofar as we know. Pushing w/ 21gr pellets, you'll have slightly higher muzzle energy (about 23 ft.lbs), but your verlocity will drop to the 700 FPS range, so it is not really recommended / a worthwhile trade-off.
About 200 pump strokes should see you fill the rifle up from zero to full. 100 pump strokes should see the rifle filled up from 100 BAR to 200 BAR. That is mostly the pressure range that you'll be shooting this rifle with and you should manage, per fill, a usable shot count of about 20 - 30 shots. Please do note that, this rifle is manufactured for single-round load configuration only and whilst single loading does afford you superior accuracy over magazine loading, you will have a very slow rate of fire and will probably be shooting with an open tin of pellets next to you, akin to a break barrel rifle, however, the advantage here is that, unlike a CO2 rifle, you'll have a higher muzzle velocity, using propellant that functions consistently. Also, just to bear in mind - you do not need to break the barrel nor cock a side lever.
This rifle otherwise is lightweight and measures in 42", with a solid composition - nothing on it is loose / loose fitting. Handling this gun, you'll feel that it is possessed of not even the slightest amount of play. It is a lightweight rifle, possessed of a generous amount of ambidextrous shallow stippling (possesed of a rubbbery feel) across the handle and the frontal side of the stock. The frontal terminal of the stock has a downwardly sloping lip to prevent forehand slipping. The rifle otherwise has a very low profile, comes w/ an aluminium barrel band installed out of the box. Moreover, the terminal point has a 1/2" UNF threaded end, for attaching an aftermarket silencer, so an adapter won't be necessary.
Free "CENTREFIRE" branded scope included in this deal w/ scope mount rings, 6x40 AO (Fixed at 6x magnification, w/ an objective diameter of 40mm. The scope can be corrected for paralax from 10 - 100 meters. It features a short, integrated sunshade w/ parallel serrations along the length of its exterior to adjust the objective with. It furthermore features an adjustable eyebell / diopter, for changing the prescription on your reticle to see it clearly w/out needing to strain your eye as is the case normally w/ featureless cheap 4x32 scopes). It is furthermore nitrogen purged to prevent internal fogging occuring on your lenses and the clarity on the scope, for the given price, is not bad at all. The reticle is modestly fine, featuring 2x windage markings per side, 3x elevation markings and 5 markings for holdover, sparsed w/ 3x half MRAD markings. all of these markings are hashes, not dots however. Please assume that these markings, for this price, is "more or less" milliradian.
The turrets are calibrated to 1/4" MOA per click, so each full hash marking subtension value should be approximately 3 MOA.
The mount rings are MEDIUM height, dovetail mounted and affixes w/ a double row of steel locking screws, both to affix the caps and to affix the rings to the rail. They are lined out inside to prevent metal-on-metal friction w/ the tube. Comes supplied w/ the relevant allen key.
