DESCRIPTION

The Birchwood Casey Perma Blue Liquid is the proven way for touching up or complete reblueing firearms.

This fast-acting liquid gives a non-streaky and uniform blue-black finish, offering the best way to touch up scratches and worn spots or even completely reblue your gun.

Perma blue paste gun blue is slower to darken than liquid gun blue but will build up a denser finish.

Please note that perma blue liquid gun blue will not blue stainless steel, aluminum or non-ferrous metals.

Birchwood Casey Super Blue Liquid Features:

  • Used to touch-up or re-blue clean and rust free metal surfaces on firearms.
  • Reacts quicker than blue paste and uses fewer coats.
  • Can be applied with swabs.
  • Double-strength bluing solution.
  • For bluing highly polished steel parts and hardened steels containing nickel and chrome alloys (except stainless).
  • Designed for bluing highly steel firearm parts and hardened steels
  • Cold blue formulation
  • Not meant for Stainless steel parts
  • Use caution to confine the solution to the area to be re-blued, as it will have an effect on the existing blue.

Instructions

Confine solution to area being touched-up, as it can affect existing finish.
1. Clean metal parts or area to be blackened with Birchwood Casey cleaner-degreaser or denatured alcohol and rinse with cold water.
2. Brighten area with fine steel wool to remove any surface oxide.
3. Clean again and rinse.
4. Apply aluminum black with saturated swab. Allow to work 1 minute; rinse with cold water and wipe dry.
5. Polish lightly with soft, clean cloth.
6. Apply Birchwood Casey gun stock wax or oil to enhance and protect the finish. Allow to cure overnight for best results.
