This is the G19C by RETAY, a company that has been in this manufacturing industry for 15 years, the most of any Turkish blank gun manufacturing industry.
As with most all RETAY blank guns, this model is supplied w/ a complimentary hardshell polymer pistol carry case which has a set of red latch clips. The interior of the handle loop has a designated loop set (one on each side) for affixing a padlock if so desired. The retainer bar here isn't too thick, which you can affix a small padlock onto to make this case tamper-proof. However, if someone were to really urgently try to access whatever is inside the box, they could just smash it open w/ a hammer or smash the box against the wall. Also included, you will receive a multilingual instruction manual, RETAY branded 5ml gun oil and a twisted wire nylon bristle brush. These in no way should substitute a proper tooth brush, SUNLIGHT LIQUID, a clean cloth and some Q20 / TOOL IN A CAN. There really is little need to swab out the barrel. Otherwise, if serious about cleaning your gun, please use BALLISTOL;
https://ballistol.com/uses/firearm-cleaning-lubricant/
Thew G19C is a loose replica of the GLOCK 19C, which basically is a GLOCK 19 Gen 3 w/ an integral parallel port compensator, which in this case, may or may not realistically function - the pressure of the blank cartridges are too low, for this compensator to make a significant difference, but the visual appeal really is there.
The frame of this pistol is completely polymer, w/ a metal slide, steel barrel and receiver, which altogether, is quite lightweight, unlike your blank guns replicating vintage firearms. Please note that, these pistol will not fit a hardshell holster intended for a GLOCK 19, due to being dimensionally dissimilar to a GLOCK 19.
The checkering down the handle sides is a periodical small square type in tilted formation, w/ three finger grooves moulded in the front of the handle, w/ centrifugal square texturing following the handle curvature. As expected, there is an ambidextrous finger rest as well (for your thumb and index finger) which does improve shooting ergonomy. The magazine release is a slightly tilted square w/ vertical serrations for traction and anti-forward slippage.
The trigger of course, is a double blade trigger type, mimicking the "GLOCK Safe Action ®" type and functions similarly to how a GLOCK firearm does, in that, you need to depress both trigger blades in order to discharge / decock the gun. Likewise, there is no conventional safety of this pistol, as on most other blank guns and firearms, therefore, we advise caution against carrying this pistol w/ a round chambered. The trigger of course, cannot be toggled at an angle, so your trigger finger will have to deliberately enter the trigger guard, before you would be able to discharge the gun.
The G19C is not a true striker fired pistol and instead, features an internal hammer, by which racking the slide, it can be cocked. That said, we cannot guarentee that this gun will not go off, if dropped w/ a round in the chamber. Please also note that we have come across some G19C's where this double blade trigger safety does not work properly. If
In synopsis - you should be able to carry the pistol w/ a round primed, inside a holster where the trigger guard is inaccessible from the outside w/out much worry. It really makes it easy to withdraw the gun and discharge the round when need be, w/out needing to check if there is a safety engaged or not.
The slide catch otherwise, is a rectangular tab, horizontally serrated, w/ a slight uprise on the lopside for increased upwardly-exerting traction, for when you need to more easily press the slide catch tab up to manually catch the slide. The top side is squared down likewise, for better traction.
The cocking serrations to the rear of the slide are lengthy, broadly cut out for better traction and given the tension on the blowback spring, these serrations do the job just fine. Would certainly have been a bit nicer if they had a more pronounced squared edge on the interior of the groove for even better pulling-traction.
Also on this pistol, we have an underbarrel Picatinny rail featuring one forwardly-positioned slot.
On the top of the slide, we have the compensator slots, a dual pair of them where-through the barrel can be seen. On the GLOCK 19 C, this would help to expel some of the excess gasses from blowing back, which shorten the distance that your cartridges eject out and likewise, ease-up the recoil, to make target re-acquisition after each shot fired easier / minimizing the barrel bump-up from the recoil.
People find these slots visually unappealing as it detracts from the original GLOCK 19 appearance, but once they understand the function of it, they are less averse to its appearance.
The gun can be field stripped by means of pushing the two tabs on the frame itself down, which, when pushed simultaneously, should lock in at the bottom-most position of the grooves. Thereafter, the slide can be hitched off at the rear of the frame, and the front of the slide can be hitched off the barrel by guiding the slide forwardly. Just mind the blowback rod and spring, along w/ the blowback rod indexer, that they don't fall out as you remove the slide.
Lastly, this pistol does have a lanyard loophole behind the magazine floorplate, wherethrough you can affix a lanyard
The magazine does not feature a chromed appearance like alot of other blank gun manufacturers finish their magazines off with. In this case, the magazine body is completely black, as is the magazine follower, which alot of people prefer as well. Please also note that some magazine followers are red in colour and we don't guarantee which colour one you might receive when ordering, exceptr on special request, limited of course, to stock availability of one or the other.
The ejection port is a 2/3 type, where the top and the right is cut open fully, leaving ample space for the cartridges to extract, likewise minimizing failures.
The barrel blocker is inside the barrel, consisting of a diagonal cylindrical bar. The lack of a typical blowback-assist which alot of cheaper blank guns feature, is absent on this gun, therefore lending a more 'realisitc' appearance to the barrel end, which alot of customers also do appreciate.
