Aluminum male probe w/ tightly-knitted brass wire bushing insert - Allows air to pass through, but restricts any fine solids. Comes supplied w/ PTFE ring seal as illustrated, which will fit into the female threaded part which this connector will thread onto.

There is a flat drive at the rear, though this doesn't seem to want to thread out.

Interior to this connector, you'll find a spring-loaded, conical piston head wrapped w/ an o-ring flange to create an airtight seal. The spring tension is pushed back against when air is forced through and once fed, the valve spring will push back, closing up the transfer port.

As such, please bear in mind that this is a one-way connector piece only. Air passes through ONLY from the male q/c end, TOWARD the threaded end. This makes it useful in applications for example, when needing to replace connector on your 48 or 13 ci tank if the male q/c fitting for example, is busted up. If your tank itself is leaking out this fitting, then typically you'll only need to replace the piston head o-ring and/or the PTFE seal that can be found in the female hole.

This fitting is hull is completely manufactured from aluminium and is not magnetic.
