The cocking serrations on it are shallow, although nevertheless, features sharp edges. That coupled w\/ the low-strength blowback spring, makes for a slide that racks quite easy. You can however, also use the fire selector lever to cock the pistol if so desired and this would perhaps, be the most natural way for most to rack the slide. The said lever does require a little effort to toggle, though in this case, it might be for the best, as you don't want to accidentally put the pistol on 'SAFE' after racking the slide - that might would prove to be extremely annoying, unndoubtedly.\u003cbr\u003eThe extractor is top \/ vertically mounted.
