Nifty anti-flying insect exterminator. Unlike some other items on the market, this product does not emit any insect killing fumes or burning hazes that can annoy your eyes after sufficient exposure. We tested this in an office environment, during daytime, and it does effectively lure - and zap - gnats, mosquitoes, etc. In fact, it took out quite a number of different sorts of flying insects, the variety of which we didn't even know existed!

It is supplied w/ a rubber handle for better grip and can be hung somewhere using that band. This module is also equiped w/ a four set of cencentrically aligned non-slip ferrules, for if you wanted to stand this module on a horizontal surface - it will rather tilt over that slip from its standing position.

The inner / wire-coiled core is shielded by a purple mesh cage to prevent tampering / being shocked, though the bars are sufficiently sparsed to permit access to the unwanted visitors, where they will be electrocuted and die in a matter of split seconds. Sometimes insects may get grabbed by the current and get burnt to a crisp, but that doesn't often happen.

The base can be twisted and taken off and the dead insects can be removed. Those clinging to the wire coil can be removed through the slots in the plastic bars by means of the supplied brush, then removed out from the bottom.

How this device works:

There are two buttons on the top. One will toggle the fan, at three different levels of rpm. Activating this button will cause the fan to startup and a violet (UV) LED colour to emit just above the fan. This is to attract the insects. The fan spins in reverse, so it will pull the insects in. The higher the fan speed, the stronger the pull.

Depressing the bolt button will turn on the current through the coil to electrocute the insects. This will be denoted by the four purple LED lights coming to life at the base of the core as well as at its top.

This module recharges by means of the USB-C port at the base of the stand, with the cable supplied. This cable is quite lengthy, slightly over 1.4 meters.
The supplied brush can be pushed in vertically, then rotated horizontally to better sweep the coiling off / remove the dead insects. It is plastic and long enough for those otherwise afraid of electricity.

The bottom cap has a bayonet type fixing, so you can loosen it off w/ a simple twist, thereafter dispose of whatever dead insects didn't get caught - and fried - by the charged grid, although the latter seldom happens. The current on this module is just enough to knock the insects out. You also barely hear them when they do get zapped.

Altogether, this module weighs in at a modest 420 grams.

That being said - be advised that this unit will likely not survive a drop, so please be careful.
