Useful for longer range shooting, to keep your horizontal crosshair plumb and to ensure that your holdover compensation follows along the intended path, whether the reticle line or toward one of your subtensions. If your scope is level and your paralax is corrected for, you'll just need to ensure your shooting posture is natural, your rifle rest is secure, your rifle is properly shouldered, then your ballistic calculations should send the parcel right to your bullet customer!
